Distinguished Chapter Advisor Award

The Phi Epsilon Kappa Fraternity Distinguished Chapter Advisor Award recognizes a chapter advisor who serves as an exemplary role model for their student members and meets the criteria outlined below.  Award winners will receive an inscribed certificate, a $150 stipend, and be recognized in the annual Phi Epsilon Kappa Virtual Awards Ceremony.  Annually, one Distinguished Chapter Advisor Award recipient will be recognized.

Criteria:

  • Current active Phi Epsilon Kappa Fraternity Professional Membership
  • A minimum of five years of continuous service as a Phi Epsilon Fraternity Chapter Advisor
  • Serves as an outstanding role model of professionalism by modeling appropriate professional behavior and demonstrating positive professional standards
  • Encourages student involvement in professional activities such as service projects, research projects, membership in professional organizations, attendance at professional workshops, conferences, or other forms of professional development
  • Provides exemplary academic and professional preparation advisement, available to students for discussions and meetings, and service as a Chapter Advisor for a Phi Epsilon Kappa Fraternity chapter

Application Requirements:

  • Letter of support from chapter members and/or officers attesting to the stated criteria
  • Letter of support from the department chairperson attesting to the stated criteria.  If the chapter advisor also serves as the department chairperson, a letter of support will be required from another faculty member in the department.
  • Chapter advisor curriculum vitae
  • Photograph (to be used in the PEK Virtual Awards Ceremony and social media)
